Meet Pete

Peter Kephart - The Creative Fire Burns Eternal

Peter Kephart burns his art - and he's creating, not destroying it. By combining and manipulating the basic elements of fire, water, earth, and wind on paper, he produces abstract and landscape imagery of unequaled natural beauty and emotive power.

He showed unusual artistic talent early, sold his first painting as a teenager, and dreamed of becoming a real artist. After nine years in corporate life, he left at 28 to pursue a creative path. He paints nature with the elements of its own creation - the same forces that forged our world.

Forged directly over the sizzling embers of a raging bonfire, each Firepainting is burned onto cotton rag paper and fused permanently with its fibers. Every piece is one of a kind, and none can be repeated.

Kephart's Firepaintings are held in public, corporate, and private collections at home and abroad. He may very well be the most famous artist you've never heard of.
